Never pull on the power cord to remove the plug from a socket. Always grasp the plug directly. Pulling on the cord can damage it, and/or result in a fire or serious electric shock.

Never bend or twist the power cord. Keep the power cord as straight as possible to help prevent the wires inside from becoming damaged.

Never run the power cord through a pinch point such as a door, a window, or between a desk and a wall. This can damage the wires inside.

Never place your AC adapter near a heat source such as an electric blanket or heater. Be sure to place your adapter on a flat, hard surface that is resistant to heat damage.

Never place objects on the AC adapter or power cord. This can damage the wires inside, as well as cause the AC adapter to overheat and stop working.
