| Just plug it in, that simple.
When pluged in and running there is a little static noise that is picked up by the computers speakers. |

| The transfer rates of this drive are erratic peaking at around 38MB/sec for a few seconds then dropping to 0. This goes on and on. I took 5 mins to transfer 3.8GB. It took ~1.5min with an older drive and the exact same set of files.
Manual is no help.

| The USB 2 speeds are horrible. And they didn't meet the USB power standards so the new Macs will not use the drive because the power the drive tries to pull is too high. |

| External hard drive stopped working after first use. Worked perfectly and swiftly the first (only time) time around, now it won't respond. It's only been about three months and already it's malfunctioning.. actually not functioning at all. Very displeased. |
