My first laptop, and I'm so happy that I chose this Toshiba. After ordering and setting up my son's Dell laptop, I was sure there had to be something better out there. It's like the difference between a Chevrolet and a Mercedes.

The difference between the performance in this laptop and my older one is phenomenal! I am enjoying the speed and ease of moving between programs, and working quickly when several things are going at once. The screen is large and bright, with great detail. In short, I love my new Toshiba!

Five years ago, I bought my first Toshiba laptop. I was so impressed by how well it held up to four years of online college typing that I bought another one. I love this laptop! The only thing I am not crazy about is the action of the touchpad. Everything else makes up for it. And laying in bed watching movies on this fabulous screen is so much better than doing homework.

This is my first laptop and so far I'm very impressed. As of now I like everything about the computer and wouldn't change anything. However, as I use it more, I might change this opinion. My wife and I just finished a road trip of almost 7300 mi. and we used our laptops almost every evening. She has a very similar model. We each loaded pictures taken during the day, edited them and sent some to friends and family. The connection to wireless internet was quick and easy so we were able to check email and other info without any fuss. I will definitely consider Toshiba if I ever have another lap top and would by all means recommend Toshiba laptops to friends.

I am very impressed with what I got for the money I payed. I wanted a good all around laptop and this passes for exactly what I wanted. It's fast on the internet, runs Vista x64 great, and plays some games pretty well. The screen is huge and bright! The speakers are loud but have no bass whatsoever. The battery only lasts about 90 minutes for my normal use. I wish I had a bit stronger GPU in it, but that seems to be the priciest part in buying a laptop I've noticed. The processor and RAM are exceptionally good however. My only complaint is the mouse, I hit it with my thumb all the time when typing and it resets where I am typing. Sometimes it goes out for 30-45 seconds and doesn't respond to anything I do; movements or clicks. And rarely it won't allow me to use the scroll features on the sides, and when I look at the icon on the bottom of my screen I see it highlit as blue as if I was already using it. My computer also came with a broken pixel, there's always a little pink dot in this one part of my screen; a minor nuisance. I'm really happy with this computer.

Overall is is ok,but it is constantly skipping letters while typing e mail or other times. While typing it will skip down or back several words. It was too late to send it back before I realized it was a permanent problem. I now read others have had the same problem
